like the bowstring
stretching, stretching, stretching,
there is no strain
what use a bowstring
unstrung,
lying limp in a pile?
we are meant to stretch
out
longer,
that when the love
propelled great distances
lands in foreign soil
it is no mistake;
it is a great kiss,
hello, sweetheart,
I am yours
The Healing Power of Writing
Hi! Welcome to the Joy of Miracles.
To write is to uncover, to unhide, to bring to light, and express what is within. To share is the end of all private thoughts, all shame, all guilt, all pain and separation. Here is all Joy found at last! Writing helps us to repeat, focus, choose, and remember ideas. The purpose of this writing is healing for all of us.
This blog is inspired by "A Course in Miracles"and The Work of Byron Katie. You are invited to share your comments by clicking on the word "comment" at the end of each post. If you scroll way down there's a little info about me and also an archive of past writing you can view by clicking on the title. Thanks so much for visiting...

Kindness
Kindness
is an ocean.
She is not
in short supply.
There are no strings attached
to kindness.
No, not strings attached,
but joining, embracing, supporting...
loving care,
no separation,
nature
Kindness is an ocean.
No loss
ever.
is an ocean.
She is not
in short supply.
There are no strings attached
to kindness.
No, not strings attached,
but joining, embracing, supporting...
loving care,
no separation,
nature
Kindness is an ocean.
No loss
ever.

She watched
She watched as her words
got run over by cars
and trucks,
flattened on the wet pavement,
and flowed down gutters
into the sewer.
She watched as the itty bitty words
and the gargantuan words all
seemed to evaporate,
vaporize
into mist,
were recycled
and rained again and again and again,
sometimes even piling up
waiting to be read...
but it all boiled down to
no thing,
just music
and squiggles,
jiggles,
and giggles
got run over by cars
and trucks,
flattened on the wet pavement,
and flowed down gutters
into the sewer.
She watched as the itty bitty words
and the gargantuan words all
seemed to evaporate,
vaporize
into mist,
were recycled
and rained again and again and again,
sometimes even piling up
waiting to be read...
but it all boiled down to
no thing,
just music
and squiggles,
jiggles,
and giggles

I can
“I can”
and the gasoline flows...
wings...
breath...
wings...
breath...
before I notice
it is happening.
it is happening.
“I can’t”
and the train is off the track
in the ditch
unable to see how it will ever
move over such rocky terrain.
in the ditch
unable to see how it will ever
move over such rocky terrain.
What a magician!
mind
mind
believe it and you see it,
even though it is not there
even though it is not there
now watch the caterpillar
walk straight up the wall,
the fly rest
upside down…
on the ceiling
walk straight up the wall,
the fly rest
upside down…
on the ceiling
what an amazing show
that isn't
what if
what if
all people wore masks,
a simple white veil,
and the sound of their voice
was but one,
your own,
all people wore masks,
a simple white veil,
and the sound of their voice
was but one,
your own,
and all people laughed exactly like you
and thought as you do,
even believed as you do,
and thought as you do,
even believed as you do,
what if
you could clearly see that?
you could clearly see that?

surely you jest
Surely you jest!
A pin prick of light
is not the sun!
A pin prick of light
is not the sun!
If your view is dark,
ask not that the world be changed,
but ask that the Light of your perception
be brightened
and allow what is
to be seen in all its glory.
ask not that the world be changed,
but ask that the Light of your perception
be brightened
and allow what is
to be seen in all its glory.

halo's breath
halo's breath
there is no mortal breath,
no life that "dies"
taking dictation
takes no effort at all
your hand is not yours,
your feet are not yours,
your breath is not yours, friend
your words,
but snowflakes
that go where they do,
and land
and float
and pile,
sparkle,
and melt
but never for instant
are owned
nor ownable
melting in your hand
the instant of contact,
to simply love the flow
is all you can do,
all you can do,
all you can do,
be
no child does not grow;
she is not what she was an instant before
that shoe no longer fits;
you do not want to squeeze your foot
into your sister's shoe
the sleigh is carrying you
over the hills and through the woods,
Grand Mother's House,
Grand Mother, Home,
melting snowflake,
Love
there is no mortal breath,
no life that "dies"
taking dictation
takes no effort at all
your hand is not yours,
your feet are not yours,
your breath is not yours, friend
your words,

Love

About Me
- Joy Schultz
- I have been a student of A Course in Miracles since 1986. It has helped me tremendously to be a happier person by helping me change my perception of everything. I have found writing to be very helpful in the process of practicing, experiencing, and living the ideas in the Course. In 2006 I started sharing inspiration from the Course with a friend. Now it is a joy to share it with everyone. In 2009, The Work of Byron Katie found me at a woman's group. The Work is a way to identify and question your stressfuI beliefs. I dove right in and in April 2013 became a Certified Facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie. I work with people privately and offer online classes. Please visit www.joyofthework.com for more information. I also still occasionally lead the 11am Sunday Gathering at the Rocky Mountain Miracles Center in Denver.
