the only way to hear something

is to be quiet

you visit with One Who

has but learned all

our only problem is trying to(illusion of) hide thoughts

keeping some thoughts separate

from ourself, thus others

we judged them so quickly we weren't really aware of it

and tried to bury them/push them away

and so we FEEL deep in us tension

pressure

constant effort to keep 

these thoughts away from our awareness

to keep them hidden

we keep trying to prove 

our innocence

our worth

our value

to ourselves/the world

but at the same time

our hidden separate thought is attacking our innocence

we do constant battle to defend our self worth

through our special

"love"

job

money

career

service 

sacrifice

family

endless skills

education

friends

vacations

hobbies

clothes

make up

Christmas presents.....

moving up the ladder

becoming more spiritual

getting more of anything and everything

adding on and on and on

making list after list because none of it has ever worked for long.....

trying to be enough of something

trying everything under the sun!

all in an effort 

not to look at

one deeply buried thought of fear

today we do not ask for more of anything

instead we let everything we have ever valued go

we were wrong about everything

today we are silent

we are empty

we are open

peace

fear

be not afraid of fear

while you are here

it is as natural 

as the rain

and snow

sometimes it seems like we are

caught in a surprise rainstorm

in the middle of a bright blue sunny sky

it suddenly changes

the fog starts to roll in while our attention 

is  somewhere else for a moment

the sky turns a dark gray

and clouds appear pregnant and full,

ready to burst

fear not

the temperature  can drop just as suddenly

where a minute ago our heart was warm and open

now there is some kind of freeze

each crystal that forms starts to block the flow

until perhaps only a trickle remains

hidden under the ice

fear not

this will happen

fear not the dark stormy nights

fear not the subzero temperatures

fear not the illusion that no flowers exist

and that warm summer days are gone forever

we do not fear this 

nor do we run

and hide out under the covers

like a child

we watch thru the window

the approaching storm

we watch the patterns trickle on the glass

we feel the thunder shake the ground we stand on

we might even jump at the loud cracking sound

but we always know

it is just a storm

just a passing storm

there is never for a moment

a fear that this will not end

and that the Sun will not return

we might even grab our Mother's leg

or hide under the bed for a while

but like a child we will

run again out into the yard

we will splash in the puddles

squish our toes in the mud

look at the earthworms laying on the sidewalk

see how green everything looks after the rain

and learn that everything is now more beautiful 

than it ever seemed before

the rain washes us clean

the rain is a sign there is healing going on

we let the clouds pour out/expose our guilt

so the sun can shine once more

we remember 

there is nothing to fear

and we give thanks for this light on the storm,

One Word

words are but tiny tiny tiny symbols

of huge infinite ideas.....

sometimes we walk right by them

without a  real glance

at all they really hold

too many words

like too much  of anything

leaves us not seeing any of it

not really tasting it

one word is the symbol of an experience

we want the experience!

so let's just slow it all down and really take a look

perhaps we don't need more words

but less

only one

to really BE with

instead of hiking through mountains of symbols

we go deep

into One

we've seen One many times before

and walked right on by

today we actually stop

we stand perfectly still

and open up the front door

we walk inside One

it expands and expands and expands

and expands

like a little old house that looks so small 

from the outside

when you go through the front door

you see it is huge and all encompassing

once you are INSIDE

it goes on and on and on and on

forever

and you never want to leave

nor can you...

because everything you have ever wanted 

is right here

now

the ego thought system attacks itself to maintain that it exists

(pain=reality)

attack is a trick 

we would not fall for

we would not feed this tiger!

keep your fingers outside the cage.....

instead we simply watch her

from a distance

her sleek body

so beautiful

is not enough

to seduce us

into coming any closer

we leave 

this tiger 

behind

is your perception(nothing else!)
