The Healing Power of Writing

Hi! Welcome to the Joy of Miracles.

To write is to uncover, to unhide, to bring to light, and express what is within. To share is the end of all private thoughts, all shame, all guilt, all pain and separation. Here is all Joy found at last! Writing helps us to repeat, focus, choose, and remember ideas. The purpose of this writing is healing for all of us.

This blog is inspired by "A Course in Miracles"and The Work of Byron Katie. You are invited to share your comments by clicking on the word "comment" at the end of each post. If you scroll way down there's a little info about me and also an archive of past writing you can view by clicking on the title. Thanks so much for visiting...

reflection...no choice

thoughts

make me smile

natural position,
a curve

relaxed
hammock

lit
eyes
sparkle

when thought
is funny

surprising
juxtaposition  (what never ever would have occurred to you!)

this
with that?!

hilarious

a  "bad"  baby?!

how could it be possible?

out of my mind
the possibilities
collide
with hilarity

a child
could not love
his mother?

a mother,
not love
her beloved child?

insanity
 is strange
to love

funny...

an endless well
could be
a desert...

a smile
is
 the most natural
response,

answer,
to
insanity

and a smile is but the precursor (the gateway!)
to laughter rushing

to jump out
 in bundles
 and wiggle waggle
 her tail and toes
and
ooh, even yip a little in the cool fresh water!

no choice,
to thoughts
of joy!

a joke

Father
of All Humor,
tell me something funny...

All power in heaven and earth,
all Joy in All of Creation
has used all of that
power
and creativity
to believe
it is only a"flea"

a vermin

to be shunned

and in need of execution...

"in lightness and in laughter
will sin's absurdity be seen at last..." acim

sandcastles

without the thought "i want/need..."

just playing in the sandbox
for fun

and i don't call it that,
i don't call it anything...

pat pat pat
a road appears,
then changes into a river
and ditch
and pool
and tunnel
and train track
and monster cave
and no name at all,
just no name
at all...

as i bury my toes
in the sand
and riggle them up

pure delight

and

no different
 now
without the thought
"i want/need..."

who are you with that thought?
who are you without that thought?

sandcastles don't travel
very well

the well

i would sit
by the well

the air is clear here

the penetration
to the bedrock

nothing blocked,
nothing undisclosed

now
this sunlight
directly oh!verhead

reflects back
from the core

ancient darkness
pierced
disappearced

undone
the uncapsulated
capsule
corpuscle:

i thought i was blood

the well shows me
the water is clear,
not red

the bottom of the pit
is not bottomless

undoing,
light,
is not only possible,
it's unavoidable

hitting your head on a rock over and over and over
gets old

and laughter
is alot
more fun

the brook does laugh!
after
all...

one hand

no thing
no one
is meant
to stay

passing through
am i!

eyes drifting
among items
on a shelf

they
do not move

it is but i
that seems to shift
her focus
and call it
a happening...

cars on the highway
next to me
seem still
at 60 mph

the earth and i move
together
and no friction
is conceived

you
take one step ahead of me
and i
call you for it...
leaving me
behind

is it possible?
which way is behind?
which way...
 forward?

if i go left
and you go right
we still walk the same line

if you go N
and I go S?
jumping on letters of the alphabet...perhaps it's music we are making,
hopping on these notes in time...

if i swim the river
and you bike the road
isn't there still the picnic at lunchtime?

call me Ishmael,
call me Joy,
call me anything you like,
my clock is still wound
and not
by me

the big hand and the little hand
do
cross paths in the night
and
point in opposite directions

and pointing in opposite directions
or lined up in a row

they are still
only fingers,
always fingers
of the
One
 Hand

gypsies and my honeymoon...

have you seen the gypsies
coming down the road!
coming down the road!

do you hear the coins
jingling on their sashes?
and evil eye
offering
such
crystal realizations
of
a future?

seek no more
to leave
this
Love

run no more
from the Everything
pouring itself
into you
right now

seek
no more diversion!
from the spring,
oh, the spring
you are

gypsies come and go,
traveling is their game,
and you, my dear,
are the gazer

you
are the stargazer,
Star
gazing
into the star
you are,
into the darkest night
of your own soul

beckons
you,
beckons you,
echoing always,
Lover,
Lover,
come home!

no gypsy
will ever give you
your Self

honeymoon,
can't wait
to make love,
to penetrate
to the deepest, darkest, most hidden
parts
of me
with Love...

do you see the gypsies coming down the road...
eye do
eye do,
dear one,
and i am
at Home,

happy at long last
to sit beside the road
and wave,
oh yes,
just sit
beside the road
and wave
all my love
to you

whoosh!

opening
 mind
this morning
  dissolves
lubricates
ancient
rusted gears,
the old tracks...
fallen mines
deserted
yet still inhabited
by ghosts...

i see you
are not solid
either

no solid state,
no freeze frame,
ever,
not even for an instant

atoms faster than the speed of light,
so fast eyes cannot track it,
slight of hand,
slight of mind...
on its self

isn't it something (;-)
what seems still
is actually(?) going so fast (that word does not begin... to illumine...exhilaration? power? approaching beyondness...

like the tv screen
and computer
and sunlight
and
you!
as "you" lay sleeping,
your "bed" whizzing whizzing whizzing,,,

fairy dust...poof!

oh Life! (apparent)
mysterious zinging

dazed am i
believing a reality
that isn't

mind attempting to make solid

all names lies...fairy tales...lightly tossed onto the
one river faster than the speed of light:

thought,
having made it all up

following the leader,
i forgot
the leader
was Mind

no thing
solid

ever...

whoosh!

About Me

My photo
I have been a student of A Course in Miracles since 1986. It has helped me tremendously to be a happier person by helping me change my perception of everything. I have found writing to be very helpful in the process of practicing, experiencing, and living the ideas in the Course. In 2006 I started sharing inspiration from the Course with a friend. Now it is a joy to share it with everyone. In 2009, The Work of Byron Katie found me at a woman's group. The Work is a way to identify and question your stressfuI beliefs. I dove right in and in April 2013 became a Certified Facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie. I work with people privately and offer online classes. Please visit www.joyofthework.com for more information. I also still occasionally lead the 11am Sunday Gathering at the Rocky Mountain Miracles Center in Denver.
