to candles
that remain burning
in the wind
despite the 100mph gusts
despite the rain
despite the torrents
despite the despicable characters
lurking in the dark corners of our mind
shouting obscenities and outbursts of insanity
we dedicate this day
to illumination
from the center out
the strength of Truth
of Wisdom
that no age has diminished
so much as a grain of sand
we dedicate this day
of clouds
to the Sun
that contributes to their very presence
by its own warmth
contributes to their expansion
to their evaporation
that at the perfect time
the Light of the Sun
the Clarity of Reality
bursts forth
in such strength
and boldness
that no doubt
remains possible
we dedicate this day
to Light
without question
because Light
is
unquestionable!!!
